How to adjust the page zoom in Word 2010 - larsonpaorat

Recently my wife came to me, laptop in hand, inadequate to experience why few Word documents looked different than others.

In past words, some spanned the entire breadth of the screen and had very large school tex, while others seemed to show off the entire page at a time, with much smaller text. Occasionally she'd see a file with two side-by-side pages, as shown in the above screenshot.

What's functioning all this weird Word voodoo? No, it has nothing to do with font size of it: It's all about the zoom.

Word's zoom control affects how much of whatsoever given document is visible on your CRT screen at a time. The higher the zoom, the larger your document will appear—and the less of information technology you'll discove.

The documents you create probably every employ the same zoom setting, one you're comfortable with. But if someone else sends you a Word file cabinet, it may open at a completely different rapid growth level—because that's how it was created and saved.

The trick lies in intended where to receive Word's zoom settings so you can tweak them to your liking. In Holy Writ 2010 (and, I believe, 2007), look in the lower-right corner of the screen. You'll visit a line with a minus sign at one end, a plus sign at the other, and a slider in the middle.

Open any document, and then cluck that plus ratify a few times to see what happens. Repeat the process with the minus sign on. See? Your text file may appear to jump finished the screen, simply you'atomic number 75 in truth antimonopoly adjusting the whizz.

You prat also click the number that appears just to the remaining of that zoom control. That brings up Word's soar-hold duologue, where you can quickly surg to a couple popular settings or enter a zoom percentage manually. My advice: experiment!

That answered my wife's Word questions, and I trust it answers yours as well. If you receive any others, don't hesitate to ask in! (Though she makes me cookies when I assistanc her with figurer gorge. Just expression.)
